Quick Guide/Checklist
Please take a moment to view the list of items below to ensure you have all the relevant information for the upcoming academic year.
Orientation Day is scheduled for Tuesday 7th December 2021.
Please arrive at the Kel Watson Theatre, Forest Hill College at 8.45am. Please bring a drink bottle, packed lunch or money for the canteen (cash or debit card).
On arrival students will be organized into their 2022 Connect Group and will follow a high school timetable, experiencing various classes throughout the day.
Students are requested to wear their Primary School Uniform with comfortable sport shoes.
Fully vaccinated parents will have the opportunity to visit the General Office to finalise any financial or enrolment paperwork.
Please collect your student from the allocated collection point, accessed via Hawthorn Road, on dismissal at 3.15pm.

Forest Hill College utilises a program called Compass to assist parents, students and staff in the College with organisation and communication.
Using our Parent Portal you will be able to:
- View news items published by the school
- View up to date class and school attendance information
- Approve or enter upcoming or past absences for your child
- View the details of and consent and pay for school events such as incursions and excursions
- Attend to course confirmation and payments for camps, essential education items and electives
- Access your child’s Student Semester Reports
- Book your Parent/Student/Teacher interviews
You can access Compass by clicking here or by visiting the Forest Hill College website: www.fhc.vic.edu.au and clicking on the Compass tab located on the top right of our home page.
Students will be allocated a user name and password upon the commencement of the academic year in 2022.
Existing families will continue to use their Compass Parent ID and Password.
Families new to the College will be emailed with their unique user name and password from Friday 8th October 2021. If you have not received your Compass log in details by Friday 15th October 2021 please contact the General Office on 98149444 or email fhc@fhc.vic.edu.au to request your user name and password.

Our uniform is supplied by Victoria Schoolwear, located on-site at the College.
Items can also be purchased via the Victoria Schoolwear website.

The CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
The CSEF payment cannot be used towards voluntary school charges, books, stationery, school uniforms, before/after school care, music lessons, or formals/graduations. To view further information click here.
Year 7 and Prep students in government schools who receive the CSEF fund are also able to get support for school uniforms. For more information regarding this initiative, see State Schools’ Relief by clicking here.
In Year 7 you will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument free of charge. Lessons occur during school hours.

Welcome to the FHC Sport & Performing Arts Academy. At Forest Hill College you have the opportunity to become involved in a diverse range of activities through our Academies. For those of you who have a keen interest in AFL, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Tennis or the Performing Arts, our Academy gives you a chance to participate four mornings per week.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to start your day with an activity that you are truly passionate about, learn from great coaches and mentors and connect with other students who share your passion. To express interest in joining an Academy please click on the link below.
