Weekly Wrap

20201016_145707

Today I posted my final onsite learning application and we are about to mark the beginning of the final week of remote and flexible learning. By October 26, we should have all of our students back onsite.

The week has progressed very well. Staff and students have moved about the College well, adhering to mask wearing particularly well. The students still have some work to do in relation to physical distancing, and we hope this can get better as the weeks progress. The buzz around the College on Monday was obvious to all. Friends reconnected, classrooms hummed again and in the blink of an eye, onsite learning was underway.

There is a great deal  of sanitiser around, and we feel confident that the best possible practices have been developed and communicated to our community. I must re-iterate however, that anyone who feels ill must stay home. If you develop symptoms, please get tested and stay in contact with us.

The Parent Teacher forums on Thursday of this week seemed to go very well. I hope they were informative and an opportunity to raise any issues related to remote learning and the return to onsite learning. Thank you to all who participated.

The canteen resumed trading on Friday. Don’t forget this is an online click and collect service. Please visit Compass to access the online ordering portal. Click on the “Community” tab in the navigation bar and select “Canteen”.

With the exciting news that there were only 2 cases today in the State, we end an awesome week on a high. Optimism that life is returning to a more normal level is rising. Please, maintain good Covid safe practices, so we can keep our great College open and onsite.

Have a great weekend!
